Beit Midrash Derech Chaim has been approved by the Ministry of Defense and the IDF, as the first institution in Israel to offer a program of study that will provide both the tools to become Torah scholars and the skills necessary to contribute significantly through military service and gainful employment.

THE FIRST & SECOND YEARS

YESHIVA AND COMPUTER STUDIES

Two years of full-day Bet Midrash study, leading to expertise in Talmud study, with a focus on practical Halacha, breadth of knowledge and exposure to Jewish philosophical thought.

Evening classes are devoted to the study of technology,  particularly in the field of Cyber Defense.

The sylabus is one thousand hours of pre-army technology studies, utilising a curriculum developed and approved by  the IDF Intelligence Unit and the National Cyber Department. The classes are taught by approved professors and will be accredited towards degree study. Classes focus on the study of Cyber Defense (Systems Security) as per the request of the IDF.

This will help fill a pressing need of the Israeli army, whose technology units are dangerously understaffed.

In addition, it will provide students with excellent opportunities for smooth and successful entry into the Israeli work force.

THE THIRD AND FORTH YEARS

MILIARY SERVICE AND NIGHTLY YESHIVA STUDIES

Two years of prestigious military service in the Intelligence units, utilizing the skills gained over the first two years.

Our students serve in elite units among them : 81, 8200, Ofek, Mafat, the Security of Defence, IAF, Basmat and many other leading units

Our students return back to yeshiva every evening after their army service for dinner and night seder until they get married.
